Identification - Important Information

Only passports and Permanent resident cards are accepted. Photocopies or other forms of ID are NOT accepted. No ID, no test. See specific information for Refugees.

Identity Registration

All applicants must have a photograph and fingerprint scan performed in our office prior to their exam. This is a mandatory procedure that must be undertaken by all candidates on either the morning of their test day, or in our office during our regular business hours.

Coats, Bags & Valuables

There is a coat room at the venue for coats and bags. There is a security desk where ALL VALUABLES must be checked in. These include: Wallets, purses, cell phones, watches, dictionaries, laptops, cosmetics, etc. The Test Centre asks that you kindly leave your valuables at home rather than bring them to the Test Centre.

The Test is Paper-Based

Test Centres in Canada only offer the paper-based IELTS test. Global Village Calgary has a high quality speaker system and headphones are not used by for the Listening section.
